Located in the heart of Times Square in New York, Virgil’s Real BBQ is the perfect spot to get southern home-style cooking in the Big Apple. With friendly service and a family atmosphere, Virgil’s prides itself on its famous barbeque and exceptional comfort food. Only two blocks north of the Times Square 42nd Street subway station, this location is easily accessible from any part of the city. Once you’ve grabbed a bite to eat with us, New York’s Madame Tussauds, Ripley’s Believe It or Not! and the biggest Broadway shows are just outside our door.

Public Transportation:
Virgil’s is two short blocks north of the Times Square 42nd Street subway station, which serves the 1, 2, 3, 7, N and R subways. The A, C and E subways stop at 42nd Street and Eighth Ave. The B, D, F and V subways stop at 42nd Street and 6th Ave. The MTA bus system also serves the area: the M7, M10, M20, M27, M42, 27 and 104 all stop within one long or two short blocks of the restaurant. The Port Authority Bus Terminal is also 3 short blocks south of Virgil’s Real BBQ.

The Pre- & Post-Match BBQ Stop for Stadium-Bound Fans
For World Cup fans making the trip to MetLife Stadium, Virgil's Times Square is the perfect first stop. Located steps from the 42nd Street subway hub, the direct line to the stadium, we open early on match days with a Southern breakfast and brunch menu built for groups that want a proper meal before kickoff.
After the final whistle, skip the search for seating and come back to Virgil's for slow-smoked brisket, Memphis ribs, pulled pork, and a cold drink in a space that can actually fit your whole crew. Arrive at least 3 hours before kickoff. Reservations recommended, book 48 hours ahead on match days.
